Resort Accommodation on Rarotonga Rarotonga Resorts all enjoy beachfront access, allowing their guests to enjoy sunbathing on the beach or swimming in the lagoon. The island is encircled by fringing reefs enclosing an inner lagoon that is also perfect for snorkelling in most areas. About half of the resorts are located on the western coastline, offering sunset views, while others on the eastern side enjoy sunrises and spectacular moonrises when the moon is full. The eastern side is also the location of one of Rarotonga's most popular beaches with restaurants, cafes and water sports activities.
